The .380 has a history of being kind of puney on the self defense scale, but there have been advances in ammo that makes them more viable.

I'm a fan of anything that starts with a "4".

Generally speaking, I can't stand .380's BUT if you are a small frame female, a .380 may be the only auto you can carry concealed so it does have it's purpose.

A .380 is better than a 911 call so there you go.

Oh, its a 454 casull, a caliber that I want to own myself in this gun (Freedom Arms):

My brother has one in 454 and another in 500 linebaugh.  IMO, the finest revolver made.

That is what we have a 454 similar to photo. I used to practice with it more but now have arthritis and practice more with my Ruger shooting 22 pistol. Since we do not have a reloader it is kind of pricey per shot with the casulll! I so prefer pistols to rifles as far as shooting goes, I have a small arm reach.

I don't care what y'all say, I'm still sticking with my Colt M1911A1s as my primary pistols. They have served me well for 30 years and will continue to do so.

The only controls I want on my guns are the ones I operate by myself, such as safety, magazine release, bolt or slide, optics an' trigger. Any others are unnecessary.

I still carry a 1911 .45, only it's a Kimber Stainless 2, not a Colt. Wink   1911's are a little big for wimmins to carry concealed.

Here in Wisconsin our gov. won't let us have concealed carry. Last time the legislature approved it he made a big production of vetoing it right in front of the cameras. And this was in spite of a binding referendum that passed 2-1 in favor of concealed carry. He won't even let retired law enforcement to have concealed carry. He even proposed outlawing ammunition purchases within the state. Good thing he's a lame duck and both Republicans running are pro-gun and NRA members.
