A long read but very, very informative.  Should be used in arguments against the gun grabbers.

The anti-gun people want to debate the term "militia"; however the legal debate ended in 2008 when the Supreme Court rendered their decision.  In 2010, we saw a second decision for the Supreme Court that said,

Quote:
SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES

No. 081521
OTIS MCDONALD, ET AL., PETITIONERS v. CITY OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, ET AL.
ON WRIT OF CERTIORARI TO THE UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE SEVENTH CIRCUIT
[June 28, 2010]
JUSTICE ALITO announced the judgment of the Court and delivered the opinion of the Court with respect to Parts I, IIA, IIB, IID, IIIA, and IIIB, in which THE CHIEF JUSTICE, JUSTICE SCALIA, JUSTICE KENNEDY, and JUSTICE THOMAS join, and an opinion with respect to Parts IIC, IV, and V, in which THE CHIEF JUSTICE, JUSTICE SCALIA, and JUSTICE KENNEDY join.
Two years ago, in District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U. S. ___ (2008), we held that the Second Amendment protects the right to keep and bear arms for the purpose of self-defense, and we struck down a District of Columbia law that banned the possession of handguns in the home.

The First and Second Amendment to our Constitution both contain an identical phrase that's critical to understanding the intent of the founders.  That phrase is "the right of the people".  WE are the people.  The right guaranteed to "the people" by the Second Amendment is no more or less important than the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment.

Its not about any one issue. But about tearing down our constitution bit by bit. And liberials are patiant. Bits at a time make them happy.

The only reason they are so loud and aggressive is because of there time in history. The most progressive president in the history of america. And only because e lies and decieves on a daily basis.

Sad........................................

I do not believe that the Bill of Rights gives the people the right to keep and bear arms. The language suggests that the right to keep and bear arms pre-exists the Constitution. The right is protected by the Bill of Rights, but does not grant it.
