Where does the GOP go from here? A few ideas

All Conservatives need to read this article. The GOP's credibility is currently in the toilet since the shutdown. We need to start building a strong following if we want to win the 2016 election! This is a must read on how we can gain the lost credilibity.

Quote:
As Iíve explained before, tying a budget bill or an increase in the debt ceiling to other policies was hardly something unprecedented. Heck, Democrats pretty much invented the practice. But because of the way congressional Republicans went about it this time Ė insisting on an unattainable goal, bickering among themselves about whether the goal was actually unattainable, failing to agree on more realistic fallback goals ó itís unlikely theyíll be any more successful using such bills as last-minute leverage anytime soon.

That doesnít mean they arenít right to continue making the case that: a) spending is too high; b) deficits remain too high and are spurring an unsustainable increase in the national debt; and c) Obamacare is exacerbating both a) and b).

So, how to proceed? Here are a few thoughts:

If you think our debt is driven by increasing the debt ceiling ó rather than by appropriating more money than Washington receives in revenue ó youíre wrong. If Republicans donít want to increase the debt ceiling, they should pass a balanced budget.
