Newbie Questions

Why is this topic "Conservatives' Forum Information at the bottom rather than the top of the forum? Don't we want newbies to read this first?

Do we really have to start a new topic just to ask questions? If not, please explain the process.

Why isn't Free Republic listed as one of the links for conservatives to check out?

What is the process for becoming a moderator? I have seen this process abused. In particular, who or where is the science moderator?

Some topics are more volatile than others, like religion, where it makes sense to have a religion mod. Is there a "volatile subject" moderator?

Where is the moderation policy? Where are the rules?

Is there a "hello, introduce yourself " thread?

Well, that's a start. Just trying to get a feel for the place so that I am firm in the belief that I can uphold the policies before I engage, to make sure it's the right fit.

Some of these questions will need to be directed to Admin via PM.
The Info forum is at bottom because that is where Admin decided to place it. Seems the Main News Forum was deemed the more important board.

Not sure I understand what you mean. If you mean topic related, yes. Some could be answered in PM to Admin, or to a Mod, as I stated.

There are many forums not listed. CF is for Conservatives only and is usually only interested in forums of that same nature.

I know of no specific process, other than being privately asked by Admin. Usually in given time as a member of good standing. Sometimes a mod has asked another member if they would be interested and suggested someone to Admin. I don't know what forum(s) you have witnessed this abuse on, but I don't doubt your word on it, though it is also a matter of perspective of false assumptions, as has been my experience as well. The Science forum shows Admin as the present moderator.

Yes, religion is a volatile (and circular) topic, which is why CF does not have a religion forum so CF has no need for a religion mod.

Good judgment, fair play and as much reasonable tolerance as can be offered. Abusive language towards another is not tolerated here. Warnings are given. If a poster is openly stated not to be a Conservative, he or she is politely suggested to seek another forum and released from the forum. These are Admin's posted Rules in general.

Yes, on the NCO forum.

I hope some of the answers can suffice for now and you can enjoy posting with the rest of us.

I can only assume that was Admin's reasoning. It does seem to come up first on Google as Conservative Forum as well.

I posted twice in "The NCO Club," but now I can't seem to access it.  Did I do something wrong? Shocked

I see you got in after all.

I am taking a guess that maybe one post was too soon after
another.  If one post is within the same 50 seconds, I think it
won't allow a post until that amount of time expires between posts.

Sometimes logging out and logging back in again fixes things.
