I like a lot of different kinds of music, Rock, Classic Country, Bluegrass, R&B, and some Classical Music. My favorite though is Southern Fried Rock N' Roll, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd etc. Post your favorite(s) up here, of any genre.

Here's my first to post:

You Ain't Foolin' Me by The Marshall Tucker Band

Just too many to name. Grew up with the Beatles and English invasion, one hit wonders. Loved the 70's innovative stuff, Tull, Kansas, Styx, etc. But one group, I loved, and the only one I even joined their fan club, and despite their member turnover, I still enjoy. They still perform abroad I believe.......Uriah Heep. Best two later CD's. Mick Box was the mainstay of that group.

Sonic Origami and Sea of Light.

This song was about the loss of Mick's mother's passing.

I was country before country was cool.  Growing up I had to hide that I liked blue grass and country.  I  have pretty eclectic tastes now .

I like Uriah Heep too, Byrd. I'm not as knowledgeable about them as you are, but I love "Stealin.'"

I grew up loving country. My Mom's side of the family is from Texas, and I grew up listening to Top 40 radio stations. They always played a mix of Rock N' Roll, R&B and crossover Country hits. A lot of those crossover songs were pure country too, stuff from Bobby Bare, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Skeeter Davis, etc. I still like Country from the 50's & 60's the best.

That was from the best days I thought they had with their best lead singer, David Byron, who unfortunately died from alcoholism back in
the mid 80's. They also lost their bass player, Gary Thain, who also died much too young, at age 27, from respiratory failure from a heroin overdose. He had gotten addicted to pain medication due to being electrocuted on stage. So many musicians ended up being victims of either alcohol or drugs.

Uriah Heep originally were known as Spice. They go way back and have a long history.

So many great songs but probably have a limited fan base who know of many of their songs.

I also like Marshall Tucker Band.

Hard to choose best song between these two.
