School worksheet tells kids GOP thinks helping poor 'waste of money,' parent claims
Foxnews.com

A Wisconsin mother claims her 16-year-old son's classroom assignment last week described Republicans as opposed to helping the poor because "it's a waste of money."

The woman said her son, a junior at Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, Wisc., was asked, along with other students, to complete an assignment about different views on the political spectrum while in a U.S. government and politics class on Thursday.

The assignment listed a series of quotes and required students to identify which party affiliation best represented each statement.

Minorities and most of our 'ding-A-Ling' citizenry believe that.

They believe that the democrat party does a better job with the poor and middle class.

It's those culture wars we're losing.

In fact it has a ring of truth to it. The encouragement of welfare has - no surprise - created a welfare culture and it is career choice now. Welfare has sapped the will or need to work and the trillions squandered on it have not moved the poverty meter one degree. What it has done and what it was intended to do by the arch fiend LBJ, was created a voting bloc of parasites that live by casting votes, not working. The only people that want to correct his are conservatives and a hand full of Republicans.

Houston, we have a problem.

And that problem is our schools in the hands of liberals.  I've been complaining for years about Republicans ignoring what has been going on in these brainwashing institutions.

If this worksheet is any indication what that 16 year old has been fed on a daily basis, it's no wonder the country has the leadership it has.

Who is teaching the kids this stuff?  The teachers and Administrators who themselves were educated the liberal way.  Someway we have to break this cycle or die on the vine of conservatism.

My first reaction was to get upset, however I have to agree with Andy, it is a waste of our money.  Now, depending upon your frame of mind and you do indeed think Welfare is a waste of money then the statement is not all that bad.  I am glad Republicans/Conservatives are associated with trying to save money.

In their mind it was meant to be a slap in face of Republicans, however I am not so sure they were being, as Rush says, " too smart by half as much."

It sounds to me like WEAC is still firmly entrenched in the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District. We also have to remember that these teachers are not DemonCraps, they are members of the Socialist Party USA. They make Nazi Peestooloosely look like Phyllis Schlafly.

My daughter was told way back in elementary school not to partake in any surveys at school. They call them quizzes so the kids feel like they are obligated to take them. I told her if they try to make her do it, to have them call me. She has refused a couple of them. They didn't push the issue.

To some degree, yes, depending on one's perspective.

For instance, if someone is fully capable of working and chooses to take advantage of the system by remaining poor to get welfare, it is a waste.

But for someone who truly is in need who is sincere in their attempts to be part of society but can use assistance, I think there are Conservatives with compassion who are generous to help others.

If someone you know is an active drug user, and is requesting financial assistance, one would only be enabling that person in
further causing damage to them.

But as a generalization on a school survey that the GOP prefers not to help the poor I think is misleading as it does not explain clarifications
I think would need to be explained in the survey to make it fair.

My perspective is based on some experience. With few exceptions, poor people or people that end up on welfare have brought in on themselves. People that make poor decisions end up being poor. Drugs, criminal activity, quitting school, getting knocked up, all point to a life poverty. When being poor is rewarded and has no consequences, more and more people will take that course. Working in the sheriff's office, ALL the people that I come in contact with are poor and ALL have made poor decisions that put them in that position. I have very little sympathy for people that so conducted their lives that the ended up on welfare.
