Another RINO that should just make the switch and make his status as a Democrat official:

From Jen Kuznicki:

Increasing government payments to people increases their dependence on government, and many do not want to have to use government programs because it is a dangerous trap. †There is no freeing virtue in government subsidy, yet Kasich thinks heís doing the Lordís work by trapping people in a system that cannot ever work the way a normal market works.

Must be something in the water. The Boner, now Kasich. The state breeds losers.

Awww---give the poor guy a break! †He and Boner have been so confused what with Obama changing laws and writing new ones, they can't keep up any more!
Like the dems, they figure if the government gets big enough, they'll be so far down the ladder they can steal with impunity!

Quote:
Doing for the poor is a measure of the goodness of the individual.  But taking money from one, laundering it through a bureaucratized government and doling it out to those defined as needy in a one-size-fits-all system, is not conservative.  We must take care of our disabled, handicapped, infirm, and aged, but thatís not the same as ďdoing for the poor,Ē as if the poor were all disabled, handicapped, infirm, and aged.  This kind of talk is extreme in that it comes to the conclusion that the poor are stupid and helpless, and itís just not true. Government, claiming it is helping people, is keeping them from rising to their true potential.

I despise politicians that use a verse out of the Bible to justify what they do. MT 25 does not focus on the government or rulers helping the people, it focuses on the individual helping people in need.
