Why would a Cruz supporter say this is a bad thing.  Confused.  I happen to agree with most of what the Donald says.  I just don't like or trust him.

Remember How Trump Threatened Ford? Well Look at the HUGE Announcement They Just Made

When the Ford Motor Co. decided to move jobs south to Mexico so that it could pay its workers less, billionaire businessman Donald Trump was furious. He made trade inequalities and Ford’s betrayal of American workers a central issue of his campaign.

And, without his even being in the Oval Office, it worked.

In an interview with CNBC, Ford CEO Mark Fields said that the automaker would be “here to stay.” He also said he had outlined his company’s plans in a letter to Trump.

While he didn’t offer specifics about whether Ford would be rolling back it’s $2.5 billion expansion of the company’s operations in Mexico, it was clear that Fields was committed to addressing Trump’s complaints directly.

“Ford Motor Co. is here to stay in the United States,” Fields said.

“We’re very proud as a company of what we do in terms of contributing to economic development here in the U.S.,” he added.“We invested over $10 billion since 2011 at our facilities. We hired 25,000 people with plans to hire another 8,500 folks. It’s important for us to be successful in our home market and we love what we do for the economy.”

Trump can make a difference ! GO TRUMP !

Nope...he certifiably did not.  He's filed bankruptcy on the SAME gambling casino and hotel chains TWICE and taken TAX PAYER MONEY to restructure them.

Was that illegal? Are you saying if you were a business man, you wouldnt do the same thing? Do you take deductions on your taxes?  Wink

And by the way, the MARJORY of management and engineering personnel in Ford's Mexico plant will be AMERICANS!  Yes...they are still going to build it.  Bet on it.  It's just good business.

So, are you telling me he broke the law?  No, he worked within the laws.  You are saying that it is wrong to take advantage of every law that is on your side.

Is anyone saying it's illegal for Ford to build a plant in Mexico?  That's nonsensical.

And by the way Count, I've never deducted a dime for donations.  Why should I ask you to pay for my charity?

Thinking the same thing? The anti TRUMP folks and CRUZBOTS have never taken the Interest expense deduction on their home over the years. I guess they feel the Govt needs the money? TRUMP just did what the LAW said was legal to do? What the hell is the problem. They never attack his positions and FORD not leaving was just PURE luck? Undecided

Truth about Trump's 4 Bankruptcies
Trump’s four bankruptcies were Chapter 11 reorganizations (named for its location in federal bankruptcy code), which are designed to restructure businesses without shutting them down completely. The purpose is to "save" the business, as opposed to other forms of bankruptcy which would liquidate the company, said Michael Venditto, a partner at the ReedSmith law firm who has extensive experience with Chapter 11.
Bankruptcy 1: The Trump Taj Mahal, 1991

The first bankruptcy associated with Trump was perhaps the most significant in terms of his personal finances, according to news reports at the time. He funded the construction of the $1 billion Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City, which opened in 1990. By 1991, the casino was nearly $3 billion in debt, while Trump had racked up nearly $900 million in personal liabilities, so the business decided to file for Chapter 11 reorganization, according to the New York Times. As a result, Trump gave up half his personal stake in the casino and sold his yacht and airline, according to the Washington Post.

Bankruptcy 2: Trump Plaza Hotel, 1992

Trump acquired the Plaza Hotel in New York for $390 million in 1988. By 1992, the hotel had accumulated $550 million in debt. As a result of the bankruptcy, in exchange for easier terms on which to pay off the debts, Trump relinquished a 49 percent stake in the Plaza to a total of six lenders, according to ABC News. Trump remained the hotel’s CEO, but it was merely a gesture -- he didn’t earn a salary and had no say in the hotel’s day-to-day operations, according to the New York Times.

Bankruptcy 3: Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts, 2004

Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts filed for bankruptcy again in 2004 when his casinos -- including the Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Marina and Trump Plaza casinos in Atlantic City and a riverboat casino in Indiana -- had accrued an estimated $1.8 billion in debt, according to the Associated Press. Trump agreed to reduce his share in the company from 47 to 27 percent in a restructuring plan, but he was still the company’s largest single shareholder and remained in charge of its operations

Bankruptcy 4: Trump Entertainment Resorts, 2009

Trump Entertainment Resorts -- formerly Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts -- was hit hard by the 2008 economic recession and missed a $53.1 million bond interest payment in December 2008, according to ABC News. After debating with the company’s board of directors, Trump resigned as the company’s chairman and had his corporate stake in the company reduced to 10 percent. The company continued to use Trump’s name in licensing.

So four Trump companies filed for Chapter 11 reorganization.
In NONE of these Bankruptcies did he ring up debt and sell out and let all of his employees go - NO he re-structured and all employees kept their jobs. If anything Trump was the one who personally lost on each and every one of these reorganizations.

The idea is to make TRUMP look like he put people out of work and stuck his vendors. That is Chapter 7 bankruptcy and many do not know the difference between Chapter 7 and 11. As you indicated chapter 11 is a reorganization and not sticking people like the anti TRUMP people want you to believe. Some other companies that filled chapter 11 are  Archway Cookies, Bloomingdales, Chrysler, Cuck E Cheese, Delta Airlines, Fuddruckers, General Motors , Macy's and Owens Corning. Their are many more that are successful and still in business but you get the point. Hope the anti TRUMP do but I doubt it. Roll Eyes
