Cruz, Kasich Walk Back Vows to Support Trump as Nominee

Quote:
Early in the presidential primary process, the Republican candidates each signed a pledge that they would support their party’s eventual nominee.

“We’re going to look at it every single day, and we’ll see what happens,” Ohio Gov. John Kasich said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “We’ve got a long way to go.”

Last week, as Sen. Ted Cruz attacked Trump as a “sniveling coward” for attacks on his wife, he was less emphatic when asked whether he could support Trump in a general election.

"Donald Trump will not be the nominee,” Cruz said simply.

Wow, politicians going back on their promises, how unusual is that? What other promises will these bought and paid for politicians decide not to honor?

In which case, I wouldn't blame Trump if he walked back his promise to remain faithful to the pub  party.

In fact, if they pull the nomination out from under him, I'd go 3rd party and take votes away from the pubs.
It's a slight possibility we could survive 4 years of Klintoon, just long enough so they could build the 3rd party and run Trump again for prez.

We NEED control of the pub party.

I'm not happy with the way they handle delegates, either.

I agree in every way Oldcoot. If Trump goes in with the most delegates and doesn't get the nom, I'm done. I will not vote period!

We knew all along the "pledge" was meant for Teump and Trump alone. I for one do not believe anyone else besides Trump signed it.
