Federal judge blocks bid to bring back 'pig painting' on Capitol Hill
FoxNews.com

A federal judge has blocked efforts to bring back to U.S. Capitol grounds a controversial painting that depicts a police officer as a pig.

David Pulphus, a student artist from Missouri, and Rep. William Clay, his Democratic congressional representative, had sued Architect of the Capitol Stephen Ayers for removing the painting in January amid a showdown with law enforcement groups and Republican lawmakers who opposed the “art.”

I'll post it again if anyone is interested.

In the 1980's, Chicago's first black mayor was depicted in a very unflattering painting.  He had passed away, and the painting depicted the late Harold Washington in women's underwear.  It hung in the very famous Art Institute of Chicago.

Some of the aldermen from Chicago went and took it down.  They felt that depicting a black man this way was unacceptable.  I don't think it was ever put up again.

it's about time we as a nation, pc as we are, started respecting the effort and danger police go through to keep us as safe as we are.

i wish there was a way to chuck the cop haters into one place, maybe san francisco for it's already it's own country, pull the cops out and keep the others in. just let them rot in there for a year or so, suffering from their own stupidity and lack of logic. and when the year was over, then we'd have less police haters; either converts or dead, it would be great to have them gone!

This is not art.  It's pure propaganda on the order of a poster!

AS art, it's a terrible painting.  Looks like a 10 year old painted it with his first set of water colors.
No imagination, no redeeming value!

We'd be better off just putting a foot through it!
