America in collapse?

I am so upset with our government, both parties. At age 71 now and a lifelong republican I don't know what the hell to think.  We have a republican president and majorities in the House and Senate and all they do is pussyfoot around.  I am beginning to think my party wants to see Trump fail!

Granted the media is pathetic and I think what they are doing is slanderous and a lot of it is illegal and some folks need to be held accountable!

Our country is in a rapid downhill spiral.  I blame all of our gutless, crooked, pathetic politicians in Washington D.C., and even in our local state offices.

I cannot bear to watch the news anymore....just sickens me. I will listen to Limbaugh however.

I am afraid it is getting close to being too late to save this nation, hell we cannot even trust the FBI apparently!

Anyone else feel like I feel?  Sad.

I completely agree ... I was really hoping that when Trump was elected President things would start turning around. I do realize he has only been in office since Jan 20th and he has had A LOT of house cleaning to do. I think his administration is on the right track but our elected Republican leaders are definitely letting us down. News? I get my news from Limbaugh and Drudge, Fox and Friends in the morning, and all I watch for Local news is that actual local news and weather and then turn it off. I like you cannot stomach the talking heads and fake news any longer.  Angry

But this may give you a twinkle of hope  Wink

[i]President Trump accomplished many of his campaign promises by his 100th day in office, and he had already made significant progress by then, most notably by reducing regulations, enforcing American immigration laws, and appointing and having the Senate confirm his Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch. In his first 100 days as president, Trump signed the most pieces of legislation of any president since Harry Truman and more executive orders than any previous president. By his 100th day, it was clear that Trump had disrupted the liberal political establishment consensus. Additionally, a poll taken shortly before the 100th day of Trump's presidency indicated that 96% of his supporters would have voted for him again had an election been held that day. A May 2017 poll showed Trump with 98% support among Republican military veterans and 54% overall. Similar polls taken mainly around the same time gave the same results. Additionally, a Pew Research poll indicated that over three-fourths of "white evangelical Protestants" approved of Trump's performance. These people, as well as members of the Tea Party Movement, did not believe the media and left-wingers in their war against President Trump.

It was reported on June 10, 2017, that President Trump had signed 37 bills into law, more than each of the previous four presidents, and the U.S. House had passed 158 bills, "making it the most productive in the modern-era," according to GOP House leaders. Overall, the legislature was relatively productive by mid-2017.

Despite opposition to Trump from the Left, it was reported in April 2017 that congressional Republicans were more united during Trump's presidency than in any other time in recent U.S. political history.

I think most of us feel the same way!

Hoping those in Republican districts can let their reps know that you want them to support the President.

I have tuned out most of the news.  I listen to Rush, watch a few minutes/day of cable news, and read.  We have to consider the media skews everything to make it look like the whole country dislikes President Trump.  He is going to continue to call them out.

Consider this - I believe they would sink the country just to oppose Donald Trump.  I hope as time goes on that Donald Trump can just keep draining that swamp.

Yes ... I am fed up with the Republicans fighting against each other.  I am fed up with them acting like Democrats in their legislation on this HC bill.  I am fed up with those like McCain who constantly put our President down.  I wish libertarians were stronger on defense.  I would become one.  Susan Collins is a joke.  She really should change to a democrat.

I wonder what will happen if this Russia thing actually brings down Trump.  It is a witch hunt.

America in collapse? Probably, there is a good chance we have passed the point of no return. Much depends on how much Trump is able to save what's left of America.
It appears many in both political parties are more than willing to destroy our nation and themselves in their efforts to get rid of Trump. He is a threat to the septic tank Washington DC has become. It is corrupt to the core due in part to a number of really bad Presidents we have had right in a row. Presidents who had Fascist/Communist leanings who brought same into their administrations. Nobody has proved this more than Obama. The fact Obama was re-elected, even though if may have been voter fraud, speaks volumes, not only about Obama voters but all citizens in general. Nothing was done to stop him ! I see no way to force our elected officials to help Trump save our country, they have already proved where their loyalties lay. Somehow, some way, we are going to pay a very high price for not stopping this when we still could. It could happen at any time as we have a weakened military, a worthless government for the most part and about 1/2 of the nation is weak people.

I think the more accurate description is "The Balkanization of America". There is no repairing the rift between MSM and their Fascist Democrat masters. Decent people will not tolerate or exist with such vermin.

Yep, All the vermin crawl lower than snakes. They will one day crawl up wanting to say "you were right" forgetting how they didn't listen, just like 5 yr or less old kids.  Then it will be too late.

When I was a kid at the ripe old age of 7, my dad gave me a Red Ryder BB gun.  I learned to shoot rats and sparrows with that gun.

At that time, Michigan had a major problem with rats.  Rats everywhere.  The same with sparrows.
So the state started offering 2 or 3 cents for each dead rat.

In one summer, I earned over $10.00.  I became an expert rifleman at that age.

Too bad we can't set bounties on some of the rats in DC!

Same here, I may be closer to a Libertarian now except some of their ideals such as military and military spending rub me the wrong way.... So for now, I shall remain a republican, whatever that means.....  Really what I am, is a conservative.... Most of these republicans just are not conservatives anymore--same goes for media outlets, hard to find a conservative one....
