This is the back of our house on 12/8/2017:

Yes, that's snow on our roof.

We actually had a white Christmas in 2004 with a whole inch of snow. Corpus Christi had 24 inches of snow that Christmas day.

Rub it in you folks in warm climates with flowers still blooming. Here in Wyoming we have about 12" of snow and a high today of 9 above and icy roads. No fierce wind at the moment.
On the other hand, we do not have fire ants, flying bugs the size of a small planes, and snakes big enough to swallow a hog.
Not only that, almost everyone still speaks English ! Grin

All right!!!! You got me I'm moving to Wyoming....

We have roses and azaleas blooming in our front yard for Christmas. I'll post a photos later.

We still have roses in my parents' memory garden. The snow we had a few weeks ago was so beautiful on those red roses. That was a perfect snow......not the slush we've had in the past. My Japanese magnolia's are fixing to bloom but I fear the cold weather we have coming will take care of that in the next few days............ Cry

Chains might have helped us on Friday, 12/08/2017.  This is the northshore of Lake Pontchartrain. We are across the lake from New Orleans.  I took these pictures at my school.

Right after breakfast:
