Liberals and Libertarians are moderate communists.

Not even close.  The fact that the words are similar does not mean the two groups are.

I've been looking into Conservatism and was wondering if you could tell me the main differences between Conservatism and Libertarianism because it seems to me as if they have a lot in common. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hail Ceaser!  And Welcome!

The question that you've asked is a very good one.  Not to mention complex.  In some ways, Libertarians are ultra-conservatives, and in other ways they are ultra-liberal.  They switch sides (GOP/DNC) when it suites them.  (ie....2006 midterm elections).

The big defining point of Libertarians is to make everything legal, and let our own inhibitions set our limits.  To me, this is equivalent to telling a kid he can have one piece of candy, and then locking him in the candy store overnight.  The next morning you will have a shortage of candy, and one very sick child.

Maybe the following image will help:

"Anthropogenic Global Warming/Climate Change is a massive POLITICAL hoax."

"Modern American liberalism, Mussolini's Fascism, and Hitler's Nazism all have their roots in Wilsonian Progressivism."
Naturalized-Texan, 1/7/2009

"The goal of all liberal programs is to produce ever-increasing numbers of poor and ignorant people dependent on government handouts."

I doubt that a bunch.  More freedom does not equal liberty.  Making drugs legal, celebrating swish lifestyle, many so-called libertarians’ ideals blind well with the far leftist idiocies.  I think public libertarians left the William F. Buckley’s version light years behind.

Real conservatives do not embrace the free love, pot smoking lifestyle modern libertarians support and are certainly not to the right of us.

One of the most famous libertarians today is Rand Paul of Kentucky and he often votes with Republicans, but occasionally he bows up his back and refuses to.

Yeah, and him and McCain should occupy Wall Street together with the other "playboys".  Or was that Maverick?
