I was only trying to compare and contrast the online retail experience and Sex Robots.  Online stores can sell it cheap, so can Sex robots.  Online stores don't get headaches.  Neither do Sex robots.  Online stores can deliver the goods 24/7.  So can Sex Robots.  Online stores don't have to worry about shop lifting.  I am told that Sex Robots won't get you drunk and steal your wallet.  Online stores, like Amazon, have an endless variety of ways to satisfy their customer's every whim.  Ah, well, you get the point. Cool

The day is coming that there will be mainly two places left to shop. Walmart for brick and mortar and Amazon for online....

My local Mall (Plymouth Meeting Mall) has almost as many boarded up stores as it has viable ones.  A trip there is about as enticing as a visit to a mausoleum.

I even buy groceries online.  For non-perishables I use Boxed.com  Gotta buy in bulk and they do not carry everything, but it shortens my need to drag my bad back up and down cement aisles in a grocery store. If you spend a reasonable amount shipping is free.

Every few months I also use Giant Peapod service.  I place my order online,  someone else drags their butts up and down the grocery store aisles, packs it up and puts it on a truck.  The truck driver delivers it to my house, carries it all upstairs to my second floor kitchen.  I pay online with a credit card, hand the driver an envelope full of cents off coupons, he takes the coupons back to the store where they credit my credit card.  This service costs about $9, plus I always tip the driver.

2 drawbacks...I can buy everything perishable because it is delivered so fast, but don't ask for lunch meat.  Even though I select EXTRA THIN slicing, they cut it so thick it is difficult to bend it to put it in a sandwich.  Gross.

And for those folks on Food Stamps, it's a no go.  Giant Peapod does not take Food Stamps.  Since hubby and I do not get Food Stamps it does not matter to us.

Great point!  Never thought of that.

That is s good point. However, theives are beginning to mark houses/areas having frequent  package deliveries. Many of these are stop & drop type deliveries that do not require a signature from customers.
This information was noted over this past holiday season.

Just wait until the big box sores are gone and Internet sale prices follow suit and hit the roof. Always the way.

Ha ha! Can you just here it now..chatter of the legendary ‘good ole days?’ ” I remember when prices were lower and you didn’t have to pay tax on the internet in the beginning!”  And the kids will say, “really?”

You must be reading Drudge.  He seems weirdly interested in sex robots!  I don't read the articles because it seems, um, dumb, to me.

Lily003   Shocked Embarrassed

A Harvard University professor has claimed that sex robots might make men, not women, obsolete.

Dr Cathy O’Neil believes women could soon be “spoiled by dashing menbots”, leading them to lose interest in real men entirely.

While advances in artificial intelligences and robots have thus far primarily raised concerns for women, she suggests it could be the other way around.

This is a women that hates men and hopes what she claims will come true.  Unfortunately this liberal douche is so ugly the male robot will either run like hell, or his processor will explode and blow his head off.
