"W" comments on the 2016 election and DACA

Quote:
Former President George W. Bush said on Thursday that “there’s pretty clear evidence that the Russians meddled” in the 2016 American presidential election, forcefully rebutting fellow Republican Donald Trump’s denials of Moscow trying to affect the vote

Pathetic.

Heard about Bush's comments early this morning, and at first I was pretty disgusted, too.  Then I saw the "detail" covering Bush's remarks and they manner they are quoted (all incomplete quotes with no links or references for more complete information), the careful interspacing of direct quote with description of what else was said, it got me to wondering just what was said, and about whom.

Disclaimer: I am NOT A FAN of former president George W. Bush.  I voted AGAINST his opponents, not FOR him in both 2000 and 2004 elections. And while I did admire his show of leadership in the days following 9/11/01, those actions taken in response are issues we'll be fighting as conservatives for a long way to come. Patriot Act and FISA are laws that should have died on his desk, but instead have become ensconced, usurped federal power to be used by RINOs and demoncraps alike over the people they have sworn to serve.

That said, the piece describing Bush's comments (describing, NOT quoting) comes across as a hatchet job.  Makes me wonder the actual, full context of what was said.  The fact is, clear evidence IS coming out now that Russia WAS attempting to interfere - in favor of CLINTON.

Exactly. He did not specifically say it was anything to do with Trump so I'd be more cautious before jumping to conclusions. And for what it's worth as well; Jeb is his brother and Trump "biatch"-slapped him all over the place so I'm sure there is no love lost from Bush for Trump. Wink  When the dust settles what W thinks is irrelevant.

The word "pathetic" was used earlier - and it IS pathetic. Pathetic that we have been forced into viewing the mainstream media with as much, if not more mistrust than we do (former) politicians.

What W. said was true.

“There’s pretty clear evidence that the Russians meddled,” Bush said at a talk in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. “Whether they affected the outcome is another question.”

They helped write the dossier, that is meddling.  What is the surprise here?

Which outcome could he be referring to....Trump winning or Klinton losing?

Nah, it was the Brits that helped write the dossier.

Russia just funneled a few millions to Clinton in return for access to a bunch of weapons grade fissionables.

For the 8 years of Obama's p*** poor reign, policies and decisions not one peep. Claimed he would be respectful and not comment on another's Presidency. Now, he can't keep his blathering mouth shut. Guess he had to let his spite out of the closet. So boo-hoo his boring, snooze fest of a brother got beat out by Trump. Jebbie didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of beating anyone regardless of what the old boy establishment GOP may tell the Bush bunch. W's politics are passe! He just can't stand that Trump's ideas are a breath of fresh air, innovative and successful.

The "Russians" helped write the dossier?  What evidence is there of that?
