A college student said she flushed her emotional support hamster down the toilet after Spirit Airlines refused to let her bring her furry pet on the plane.

A 21 y.o. college student loon.

Hopefully, the hamster didn't plug up the toilet.

Indeed it is and makes a person wonder about the Flusher.  == This whole bit about "Emotional Support Animals" is rather strange.  I have had an animal most of my life like many of you.  No one would have a dog or cat if they were not for your own emotional support.  It makes me feel good to play with my dog.  What is the reasoning for calling these animals with these "Special People", emotional support animals?

Yes!! She didn't have any other options? How is killing it even an option? That wouldn't even enter the mind of a normal person. Holy cow, I'd hate to think of what she'd do with a baby. I hope they charge her with animal cruelty.  Shocked

My first thought as well. Could not have been that attached if she did this.

There is little left in this sick, depraved, emotionally infantile society these days that could be called "normal."  It's why they want to redefine "normal" to mean any damned thing they want it to mean.

Angry  I guess her support hamster didn't do her any good.  I hope it did stop up her toilet and she had to pay out the nose for repairs.  Angry  This chick is sick in the head, must be a Snowflake.  Angry

This part tells it all. So she's 21 and yet can't rent a car? Let's roll with that so what's the rush to get home if one is so attached to their pet? Rent a room until you figure out what you are going to do for one idea. Call the local Humane Society for help and advice. Who the $%#@ flushes a pet down an airport toilet? If it was up to me, I'd flush her. She's going to mature into a real "gem". Roll Eyes

"However, when the student arrived at the airport she said the airline refused to let Pebbles on the plane. Aldecosea said she did not have many options since her family was in Florida and her friends were hours away. The student claimed a Spirit employee suggested she either flush Pebbles down the toilet or let the animal free.

Aldecosea skipped her flight and tried to rent a car instead, but said she was too young to rent one. So she did what she felt was the most humane choice."
