I have heard this dumb argument.

No one today had anything to do with it.  I don't think much about the past of any country.  We had nothing to do with it, and I believe the Bible would call it "false guilt."

Whatever is today has evolved, and it is silly to be feeling all guilty over something you didn't do, nor have any control over.  All countries are where they are after many other things sorted it out.  I have no guilt over "native Americans."  They should grow into the 21st century and assimilate.  Slavery - had nothing to do with it.  "Jim Crow" is more recent, but I had nothing to do with it.  People of today must evolve and straighten their lives out or they will be stuck in the past.

I think it's a lot of horse manure to be caught up in past history.

Good advice.

California don't have any illegal aliens, they are democratic voters.

You know how they like to hide out in churches to avoid deportation?

I'm no Biblical scholar, but I believe there is a command to "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's."  I believe immigration law is an example of obeying Caesar's laws.

Not much different than speed limits, red lights, stop signs, paying taxes, etc.  These are laws we must obey.  Our laws are very specific about what is legal and illegal immigration.  So these churches are disobeying the Bible, in my opinion.  They are usually Catholic, and the Bible isn't front and center with them.  I am a former Catholic who was educated in it, so that is my opinion.  Not to insult anyone who is Catholic.

Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, render unto God what is God's.  Sneaking into a country illegally and trying to stay when caught doesn't strike me as God's law.
