Gun control ended before it got out the gate. The declared purpose of gun control is to keep firearms out of the hands of criminals. (we'll ignore the REAL reason for gun control laws, for the purposes of this discussion)

And the actual RESULT of gun control laws is criminal have easier access to firearms than do law abiding citizens. The fact that we can now legally download instructions how to make our own plastic pistol does not change the situation significantly one way or the other. Law abiding citizens will still obey the law (at least while the laws are still tenable), and criminals will still disregard the law.

One of the people in the video talked about printing an AR-15.  A rather naive statement in my opinion.  He should have limited his claim to printing out receivers, handguards, grips and such.  No one is going to be printing out their own rifle barrels anytime soon with the readily available 3D printers.

Gun control will not end as long as we allow the federal government to criminalize possession of various guns.
