A great deal can happen in 2 years. The independents who voted Democrat this time around can easily change their minds. Time will tell.

Looking out my kitchen window into the south central Florida morning fog -- my coffee sure tastes better this morning knowing Ron DeSantis beat Andrew Gillum for governor, and Rick Scott unseated Bill Nelson for Senator!

As the late Jackie Gleason used to say: How sweet it is! Cheesy

I noticed that my coffee tastes better too--- Smiley

Two years is a long time.  We could have a runaway economy, we could have border enforcement we could have peace, we.... wait........we just had all of that and we lost the House. -- And as far as your Independents, there are not any, zero.  No one, repeat no one is undecided on which party he likes.  They are so different now, everyone is locked into one or the other.  There are a lot who call themselves "Independent", but they always vote for the same party each time. == Turn out the lights, the party's over.........  Cry

I thought about you and others here at the Conservatives forum that live in Florida -- and how they were probably enjoying their morning coffee better than usual.

DeSantis defeating the leftist socialist Gillum was almost important (relatively speaking) to me as Trump beating Hillary in 2016. Scott defeating Nelson was just icing on the cake.

That is what I found strange about Fox News calling the House so early last night.  When they called it the Dems had flipped two seats and they needed to flip 23. == After looking at things, I guess Fox knew what they were doing.  Right now it is 220 - 193 with 22 still undecided.  This could end up being VERY BAD.

I agree with you on this one.  Let's wait ANOTHER two years and all will be just peachy.  Let's wait until after the 2020 elections.  We heard that about "let's wait until after the 2018 mid-terms."  Yeah, we've got them this time.  Just wait until................hell freezes over.  Republicans have had 2 years with control.  They had to be pulled, kicking and screaming, to do anything for the PEOPLE.

Rush called it today as I did last night.  The REPUBLICAN PARTY bears the blame for what didn't get done.  They did not support the leader of the Party, President Donald Trump.  Then a bunch resigned ahead of the game.

I am hearing that this is great because NOW we'll see how crazy the Democrat Party is and that will finally wake up the people.  Please.  These people are known to be crazy and re-elected anyway.

Gridlock is GREAT..........except in the area of illegal immigration.  Every day that goes by without a wall, strict enforcement, keeping them OUT by whatever means necessary, many deportations, is another DISASTER for the citizens of this country.  EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Sure, the Senate and President can refuse anything the House sends them.  But they won't GET legislation to deal with the blatant disregard for the citizens of the USA.  Let's be Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, etc.  Let's create a sh**hole like they all came from.  That's great for the world.  But another two years, no problem.  Let's start working on a new flag.

I mean NO disrespect for those who are finding a silver lining.  Or thinking that this always happens and no big deal.  But I find it a HUGE deal because I think we are at a critical point that COULD have been dealt with over the last 2 years, and the Republican Party LET this happen.  They can just keep getting walked on, keep THEIR jobs, and be right where they are used to.

Two thoughts... I was worried I'd be drinking Beto juice this morning instead of coffee.
2nd..  Trump can TOTALLY take care of the illegal issue by enforcing EXISTING LAWS.  EO, then SC.  ICE raids and mass deportation.
