What President said during exchange with Jim Acosta

I am not getting in to the whole rudeness of the exchange.

I was rather taken back by what President Trump SAID during it. As they went back and forth, President Trump said that he wanted people to come here legally, a process.  So far, so good with me!

Then he said that we NEED the people.  That there were so many jobs.

Talk me off the ledge, but he said what he said.  I have questioned many times WHY illegal aliens aren't being DEPORTED, and why no one says anything but "criminal" illegal aliens.  I wonder if there is ANY PLAN to deport the reported 30 MILLION already here illegally.

Is THIS passed by statement the reason?  I heard it on the radio tonight and about lost it.  WE NEED THE PEOPLE?  We need MORE non Americans in the country?  Having increased the population over 100 MILLION since about 1970 isn't enough?  We haven't changed our language, culture, and everything American enough?

Do WE get a say in the changing demographic and life of the USA?  Is this why I never hear about DEPORTING the ILLEGAL ALIENS who have snuck into the country already??????????  Why not just give amnesty?  It is no damn different.

You have to listen to the audio.  I am not sure how much this was noticed due to the focus on Acosta.  Maybe you can hear it in other video posted. Are we being played everywhere?

That is the fallacy of the immigration debate. We should just as concerned about legal immigration as we are about illegal. Not the first time he and others have said that.

I can only speak of WNC but I do believe that we do NEED entry level workers here. Nearly every business here has signs out, fast food rest. are starting out at $10.00-12.00 an hour, trade jobs at $12.00-14.00 an hour. This is a good thing but these jobs right now are not being filled and eventually may curtail the booming economy. Hell WallyWorld shelves are empty and they pay $12.00+ an hour here to start.
Nothing wrong with Legal American Immigrants.

Let's get the ones already here working since they're obviously not going anywhere.

Many Japanese and Germans came here in the 1930's to pave the way for WWII.

No, not all of them.  But we all know we're never going to deport all of them.  Let's at least get them off the dole and working.  That's my big question. They say we need to import more unskilled labor, but what percentage of the ones already here are working? If they're all working, my guess is we don't need to import any more.  Of course, I don't think we need to import any.

We don't need them here to do entry level work. Companies will find innovative ways to replace them if no one wants to do the jobs. Used to need cashiers and now they have self check. Used to need people to take orders at say McDonald's. They came up with kiosks. We may not like that route but would one rather we let more scum in?

No doubt someone will raise the issue of crop picking, etc. All we have to do is implement a workable method for migrant workers that assures they return home. The immigration issue can be settled but there is no will on either side of the aisle to do it. Trump is fighting a one man battle and we just witnessed how ignorant the voting population is in some areas when it comes to truly understanding the precarious position this country is in.

We cannot assume that the economy and jobs will always be there.

So then we have more dependents on the welfare and other benefit rolls.

And I don't excuse it if we have been PLAYED.  I don't want any more dilution of this country.

I understand what you are saying and I agree but it still is amnesty. You don't get to stay in a country that you"broke into". But as you said the reality is that we don't have the will to deport them. So far it's been all bluster when it comes to the topic of deportation and even Trump has indicated as recently as yesterday that he thinks that we need them. Put the deadbeat scum to work. One quick look at the welfare rolls and food stamp rolls and we will easily know who should be put to work.
