Could/would Democrats consider backing down?

I had a random thought.  Democrats are the ones whining about government being shut down and employees going without paychecks, etc.

The President has made a good case for why he thinks a border wall/security is needed.

Could Democrats decide to be the "grownups" in the shutdown and give him what he's asked for in order to end it?  Not that they wouldn't ask for things we wouldn't like in exchange.

I'm just wondering if they are considering an exit strategy.

I said ACT like they are the grownups!  We all know they are not.

They could stand there all high and mighty, looking down on the President and us meaningless citizens and act the part.

Any one of us could write the speech!

Why would they? They have the press in their pocket to make them look good no matter how stupid their arguments. They can’t lose. If Trump gave everyone a million Dallas they would make it seem bad. They’re so infantile it’s insane. There is no concern whatsoever for the facts or the American people just not giving into Trump.

Trump is giving the Democrats every opportunity to compromise. That said, I seriously doubt they will. No, Trump has to accept the sad reality of what the Democratic party has now become. Trump has to actually realize he is at war with them like it or not. It's time to get serious, really, really serious. Pelosi and Schumer are bad people, very bad people. They have lied, cheated, stolen and IMO even murdered to get to their position of power. They care nothing for our Republic or the American people. They only care about their unfettered lust for power.

NO WAY !  The Dems are not giving an inch ! Not now, not ever ! Pelosi will see to that.
There is no easy way out of this, we allowed it to get to far out of control.

Like I said from the 'get/go', Trump is going to have to declare a National Security Emergency. The political optics won't be good, but Trump needs to "damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead" because if he can't get a barrier and border security he won't be able to win in 2020 anyway. Trump needs to essentially go to war against the Democrats...because they are full out at war against him.

I see a couple of scenarios playing out.  The President declares a national emergency and builds the wall or the dems offer him the money for the wall in exchange for sweeping anti gun legislation.  That way they are able to chisel away at his base support.

I personally think he should get his public relations people to flood the airways with PSA's, bill boards up on the highways, etc.  Do whatever it takes to get the job done.  I think the buck is always going to stop with the President and people going without paychecks is just now starting to get real, he will get the blame.  I would not let it drag on for much longer.

I don't think the dims want to give in.  In my opinion ,,, the wild card here is TSA.  No pay, a 'sick in', and a few airline problems would take the issue right out of politics.  There has already been one dim congress-critter publicly talking about the number of pro boarder wall phone calls vs anti wall calls … pros had it hands down.  Yes it was a midwestern state … and everyone knows how well loved nanny is there.

I see the crack.  TSA will be the lever to open the floodgate.

The dems will never cave. They and the msm burned their bridges a long time ago. The msm is painting this to be Trump's fault, naturally, and the longer it drags on, the worse he looks.
