It appears that the agreement sucks.

https://www.politico.com/story/2019/02/11/shutdown-congress-border-security-1163...

But I bet he signs it because it is close to what he wants, and I bet he finds some $$ elsewhere.

but that move would certainly be challenged in Congress as well as in the courts.

If Trump doesn't buy it, he can declare a National Emergency, in which case he has more power than congress, so I doubt a challenge in court would get very far for the dems.

The tentative deal includes $1.375 billion for physical barriers.

It includes a total of 55 miles....

If Trump accepts that hes finished (and rightly so)  and so are we.....

Nope.  It is not in the best interests of the American CITIZEN.  That is the ONLY reason the federal government is in place.

"Sources tell Fox News the $1.3 billion can be used only for new construction that would cover approximately 55 miles of border territory in the Rio Grande Valley.

The White House had requested $5.7 billion for the border wall and the administration had dangled the possibility that Trump would declare a national emergency and divert money from the federal budget for wall construction, but that move almost certainly would be challenged in Congress as well as in the courts."

They are not going to give him the money in any meaningful amount...willingly.

I heard one of taking heads while at the gym say that he may take what they offer and still find the money elsewhere. As I said...we shall see.

An "agreement in principle" but only 55 miles of a wall? What a giant steaming pile of male bovine feces that is! The real "principle" the Democrats are in agreement with is not giving Trump what he needs to stop the illegal invasion of our nation. The Democrat's "principle" also includes limiting the power of ICE to detain criminal illegals by setting a cap on how much detention space they can have. The Democrats don't care about MS-13 members, the drug cartels, the human traffickers and various other criminals. I pray to the Lord that people are beginning to wise up and see who is trying to look out for them and who couldn't care less about them and is only out to obtain a large/ignorant voter base.

There are even stipulations as to how the money can be used.  That is no good.  We can't even repair a hole in existing fence. == Do the Emergency Thingy and get the whole fence.  It will have to go through the Courts but will be quicker than what is happening now.
