But don't count Bernie out. There's lost of idiots out there that like what he has to say.

The audience at a Fox News town hall erupted in cheers and applause when asked by moderator Bret Baier if they would support Sen. Bernie Sanders's (I-Vt.) "Medicare for All" proposal.

"I want to ask the audience a question here. ... How many are willing to transition to what the senator says, a government-run system?" Baier asked before the crowd burst into cheers.

Despite criticism, a number of polls have shown both Democratic and Republican voters support Medicare for All. One such poll conducted by The Hill in October showed a majority of Republicans supported single-payer health care. Another poll conducted in January showed that 56 percent of American voters supported such an insurance system.

The video of Sanders on Fox quickly gained attention online Monday, with many pointing to the applause and past polling as examples of support among even conservatives for Medicare for All.

Bernie realizes the truth behind this (modified) series of statements:

Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, and you'll feed him for a lifetime.
Teach a man to steal and eat fish that other men caught, and you'll have a democrat voter for life.

The trouble with good ideas is that they quickly deteriorate into hard work....

I wondered about that audiance.  Seemed exceedingly pro bernie.  I also question the conservative "support" for a single payer system ... and 56% of American voters???

Too many times we get poll results without knowing the questions, the population used, or how that population was selected.

I live in a solid blue state and uncle joe is the only one that gets a nod.

While I agree that it is too early, bernie has to get past the dim rule about having to be a dim to run in their pack.

....dems will never give Bernie the nomination.  He's so driven this time around that he wont take NO for an answer.  He'll run Independent splitting the democrat vote. IMO

If Bernie fractures the Dem vote it could be very good for President Trump. However, the Dems tend to function like the Borg of Star Trek. Bernie might just find himself stopped in his tracks. Keep in mind, Bernie's wife isn't exactly squeaky clean and what might the Dems manufacture in order to get him out of their way?

...or they can let him secure it since they know they have little chance anyway. He would be a good test case (as the nominee) for running a socialist on a national scale. If he just happens to pull a fluke and wins....you know the rest of the story.

There is also Weld who may not pull in staggering numbers if he opposed Trump...but just enough to give the opposition an easier chance of winning.

Never say never...
