I saw the interviews at the diners fro FOX, and it seems as if the teacher's unions stuck their socialist nose into the election...they claimed Bevins was giving money to charter schools something the teachers unions don't like, you know parental choice for their kids...power first, kids last !

Yep. That RedforEd is starting to scare me.

The Dems shouldn't get too excited. All the other statewide races went to Repubs. Attorney General, Treasurer, Auditor and others.
Bevins was unpopular to begin with. I think the U.S. Senate seats are safe.

According to Kentucky_Patriot the Liberations ran a candidate too.  That could have been a Ross Perot effect.

Considering Bevins is the only republican in Kentucky who lost it would appear this is a bell wether for nothing except that Hollywood money and the teachers union took him out.

Another way to look at it is.......
823,000 people voted for the republican to be the next attorney general but only....
704,000 of those same people voted for a republican governor?

120,000 people decided to jump ship? Believable?

Stinks of fraud. I still do not believe these results. Communists dont have the numbers to beat patriots in any election. They can only alter the results and lie about them through the media.

It does not necessarily mean they jumped ship.  All the other republicans won didn’t they? I suspect it means that republican voters did what we always do - they were not pleased with Bevin for whatever reason and they chose not to vote for him.

This is something that republicans have got to stop doing. There are a helluva lot of republicans with whom I am seriously angry. However, when it’s time to vote I will much rather vote for a lame azz republican than allowing my non vote to let an evilcrat slip thru.

By the way, I don’t see anyone going on about the republican wins in New Jersey - an arguable “deep blue state”. We won Mississippi. Why do we find it so hard to celebrate our victories even as we mourn our losses?

Yes, there ARE problems but a lot of it is self inflicted. We biotch and mourn and we never get off our a&&es and DO SOMETHING. Then we have a lame azz party that does not help either.  Look at Virginia. The RPV IS THE WORST state party in all of America. They are terrible. They hate Trump. They cozy up to islamists and they stand for nothing. And look where Virginia is today.

WE. All of us. We need to stop whining and decide if this country and our children and grandchildren are worth fighting for. And we’d better make up our minds quick fast.

..and no I am not yelling at you. But we - we all need to fight back. I was not born in this country and I for one am not going to let the evilcrats have it. It has given me way too much.

Democratic bench is wiped out in this state, so it's hardly trending blue.

What cost Bevin the election IMO was that he said days before the vote that he would push for tolls to pay for a bridge project to connect Northern KY areas (which is a hotbed of GOP support) to Cincinnati.  This piece of honesty really ticked off voters there and he lost two of the Northern counties - Kenton and Campbell - to Beshear.  If he had won those counties by the same margin he won neighboring Boone County by, he would've prevailed in a narrow victory.

The state legislature also has a GOP super majority, so the Democratic governor won't be able to do much.  Attorney General is also Republican so if the governor overreaches then he's going to run into problems.

I think the GOP can recapture the governor's mansion in 2023 with a better candidate, probably the current Secretary of Agriculture that won a dominating win.

I said the same thing in a thread that was moved around.   They took over the school system and rather than fight the changes, people moved their kids to private schools. Or, they home schooled. Or, they tried unsuccessfully to undo the propaganda.  Our schools are now Socialist breeding grounds.   It’s everywhere ... the inability of shop owners to decide who they want their customers to be ... entire US towns taken over (Dearborn, for example) by immigrants who hate everything about us.  Criminals released from prison because it’s too harsh.  The media blathers whatever they want and people gobble it up because they came out of the school system they created.  And now they’re after the police.  The other side is powerful, organized, and know exactly what they’re doing.  Unless we change our attitude, it’s over.
